Fronted by accomplished actor Jada Pinkett Smith and backed by a live band whose resume displays a wealth of live and recorded projects, Wicked Wisdom has given birth to a sound that cannot be confined in a single genre. Seamlessly fusing the screaming guitars of heavy rock, driving drums of speed metal and unmistakably locked grooves of funk, with a melodic vocal style that is at the same time fierce and vulnerable, Wicked Wisdom tap into the blood line that fuels the human condition.

That Remains has established with the band’s breakthrough
album, 2004’s This Darkened Heart, Labonte and company have

Labonte says. “This disc will have some of the most aggressive,

has ever written.” [ more ]

The first signing of Cement Shoes Records is “Godhead”. Formed in the mid- ‘90s, Godhead has been steadily building their fan base and emerging as a true international rock act. Their debut release of 2000 Years of Human Error on Posthuman Records in January 2001 and the 2003 summer release of the follow-up Evolver on Reality Entertainment, have sold well over 100,000 copies to date. After years of touring extensively with Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Static-X, Mudvayne, Rammstein, Pigface and Saliva to name a few -- as well as performing at Ozzfest and the Reading and Leeds festivals overseas -- Godhead has scraped, clawed and carved out their own place in the rock music world... Countless bands have been inspired by the abundance of radio-friendly hooks and choruses surfacing in today's popular metalcore. Unearth are the exception. While other groups have been motivated to make their songs more commercial, Unearth have gone the opposite direction. [ more ]
