Stream of Consciousness' Lifetime Achievement Award 2006

DAVID BOWIE

Musician turned actor, Bowie did a great job playing the part of Nikola Tesla in 2006's The Prestige.

And, hey, he had a big dick in Labyrinth (1986).

BONO of U2

Read Rachel's commentary on Bono that managed to intertwine in her review of Cattle Decapitation this year. Someone finally said what we've all been thinking, only appropriate that it was her.

Bono is a boner.

Most Memorable Moments of the Year

Brian: I was in a position that allowed touring musicians over the year to pay their respects to Darrell Abbott at his final resting place.

Hawk: My first year wedding anniversary

Rachel: Being blown away when Behemoth took the stage at Sounds of the Underground; freaking out on a rude concert-goer at Family Values Tour (god that felt good); screaming into the saliva filled microphone of Bob Meadows (A Life Once Lost) during “Pain & Panic” at a show in Iowa City; being seen on Sports Center after the Michigan State vs. Iowa Men’s basketball game; sleeping at a friend’s apartment in downtown Washington DC only to hear “Lady in Red” by Chris De Burgh blaring from a convertible (I mean, seriously, come on who does that); being introduced to Thog, a character from the Order of the Stick comics, the CUTEST character ever!

Goal for Next Year

Brian: To get published in a printed publication on a national level.

Hawk: I do not set goals; I set my expectations low that way if something does not pan out I will not be disappointed.

Rachel: Write at least one review a week.
